Carol Mae (Clark) Bowers, age 82, of Avalon, formerly of the North Side, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness, on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Beloved wife of the late John D. Bowers; mother of Mary (James) Hoover, John (Claudia) Bowers and Gregory (Carolyn) Bowers, and the late Cheryl Bowers; she is survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jarrod Bowers; daughter of the late Roy E. and Catherine Clark; sister of Mary Margaret (late Al) Miksic, Catherine (late Rudy) Turkovich, William (Sheila) Clark, Karen (Sean) Mullen and the late Lorraine (late Tom) Morinello, John (late Bertha) Clark, Roy (late Dee) Clark and Richard Clark. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Carol was a housewife raising her four children and will be remembered for her devotion to St. Cyril of Alexandria Church and love of her beloved dog, Sugar. Carol worked for many years at Betsy Ann Chocolates.
Private Family viewing 9:00 - 11:00 am on Monday followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Cyril of Alexandria Church at 12 noon. Interment immediately after in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, North Side Catholic Cemetery.
