Eleanor "Lee" Baker

June 25, 1918 — December 8, 2020

Age 102, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Ernest S.  Sister of the late Genevieve Blake. Dear fiend of Robin Miller and Connie Fries. Thank You to the dedicated staff of Concordia of Monroeville. No Visitation. Services and Interment  Private. Doantions may be made to Humane Animal Rescue, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh,  PA  15208. My friend Eleanor passed away last night. She was born in 1918 during the pandemic and sadly died from this one. She lived most of her 102 years in her little house surrounded by her beloved cats and assorted urban wildlife that she enjoyed feeding. The beautiful flowers that engulfed her house were testament to her love of gardening. I met her in her latter years and enjoyed our conversations about her growing up in the North Side. She was tough and sweet and you have never lived until you heard a 100 year old woman drop an F-bomb with great delight. She is at peace now with her family that she cherished. Wear a mask not only for you but for the ones you love.
