Elva E. (Cerny) Silay

Elva E. Silay, age 90, of Avalon, formerly of North Side, on February 12, 2023. Beloved Wife of the late Edward A. Silay; Mother of Michael (Lorain) Silay, Thomas (Sue) Silay, and Ronald (Donna) Silay; Grandmother of Erika (David), Jeremy, Andrew, Leah (Anthony), and Caroline; Great-grandmother of David Christy III and Adalyn Marie Christy; Daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Cerny; Sister of the late Helen Eberz, Edward, Regis and Robert Cerny; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA   15212-2104; a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am Thursday at Christ Our Savior, St. Cyril of  Alexandria Church;  Entombment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer, North Side Catholic Cemetery.  Elva had been Treasurer of Branch #64, Pittsburgh District L.P.S.C.U. and she had also been a volunteer with the Heinz V.I.P.'s.
