George R. Gerkey
February 22, 1938 — March 23, 2017
Of Cochranton, PA formerly of Pittsburgh. Son of the late Herman O. and Viola (Miles) Gerkey. George is survived by four children, George (Denise) Gerkey, Viola (Robert) Macaulay, Meaghan Gerkey and Marissa (Joseph) Knupp; brother of Emil (Corinne) Gerkey, Cleve (Patricia) Gerkey,; grandfather to eight grandchildren, Dana Macaulay, Paul Macaulay, Jessica Gerkey, Eric (Tiffany) Gerkey, Gregory ( Kari) Gerkey, Trenton Gerkey, Kevin Cooper and Vera Knupp; great-grandfather to five, Sophia Macaulay, Layla Macaulay, Eric Gerkey, Aubri Gerkey and James Gerkey. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Janice (Robinson) Gerkey; and brothers Herman O. Gerkey, Jr., James Miles and Albert Miles, Jr.
