He found great freedom in driving and spent much of his working life behind the wheel, proudly serving as a truck driver for Teamsters Local #249.                                                                                                                                                            Joseph lived a full and vibrant life, rich with faith, service, and activity.  A devout Catholic and lifelong member of Most Holy Name Parish, he faithfully attended Mass and served his parish as an usher, teller, and worked with St. Anthony's Lyceum.  He also led charitable efforts as president of the St.Vincent de Paul Society and was an active member of both the Knights of Columbus and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association.  Additionally he served as a Chaplin for his VFW #7090.  Never one to sit still, Joe also stayed physically active throughout his life.  He bowled in local leagues, competed n senior olympics, and became an avid golfer, even hitting a hole in one at North Park Golf Course.
