Marcia Tarasovic

In Loving Memory of Marcia (Alexia) Margaret Tarasovic

July 8, 1943- May 4, 2025.

Marcia Tarasovic, age 81, of Burlington, Vermont and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed

away peacefully on May 4, 2025 after a day of visiting with her family.

Marcia was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Mary Louise Foytho Tarasovic and

Thomas J. Tarasovic MD. She graduated from Chatham College in Pittsburgh with a

degree in marketing. She lived a full life, embracing multiple careers including as an

artist, poet, teacher in a steel mill, law firm marketer, and workforce development

professional. She was a dedicated mother and a friend to many. She enjoyed a variety

of pastimes including reading, travel, golf, gardening, hunting, and cooking. She was an

active member of St. Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral in Allison Park,

Pennsylvania before her illness.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Ingrid (Matt) Malmgren, their children Linden,

Natalie, and Anders, and her sisters Mary Lou Tarasovic, Cathryn Hopkins, and

Suzanne Farias. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Peter

Tarasovic, and her beloved daughter Kristin Dreiss.

A private service will be held on May 13, 2025, with internment at St. Alexander Nevsky

Orthodox Cemetery in Bellevue, Pennsylvania.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests

that donations be made to The Converse Home, 272 Church Street, Burlington, VT

05401 in Alexia Marica’s memory.

May she rest in the eternal peace of God’s embrace and be reunited with loved ones in

Heaven.
