Michael W. Senko
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Michael left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father and the loved ones who went before him. He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria (Romah). He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Senko, and by his grandparents, Katherine and Onufer Havrylak and Peter and Anastasia Tymczuk.
He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Label; her daughters, Melissa (Doug) Carr and Jennifer (Shaun) Gaus, his sisters in law, Roxanne (Jim) Picard and Christine Bilotta; and his brother in law, Marty (Dana) Romah. He leaves behind many wonderful nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply. Michael was further blessed to serve as a godparent to many amazing people, a role he embraced with great love and pride.
Michael was a gentle, faith filled man whose kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted husband for almost 50 years, he lived his life with humility, generosity, and a quiet strength that anchored his family and community.
His love for his church, St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church, was woven into every chapter of his life. Michael was an altar server for over 65 years, a role he cherished deeply. His unwavering dedication was recognized with a papal award from Pope John Paul II—an honor that reflected his lifelong commitment to service. A gifted craftsman, he spent 25 years in the carpenters’ union and found joy in woodworking. Many of his finest creations were built for his beloved church, where his hands shaped pieces that will be treasured for generations.
Michael was proud of his Ukrainian heritage and could often be found in the church kitchen at St. George’s making nut roll, halushki, soups, and more. Whether he was kneading dough, carving wood, or decorating for cookie projects, he poured love into everything he created.
A certified scuba diver and lover of the beach, Michael found peace near the water. He approached life with the same curiosity and wonder that drew him beneath the waves—always exploring, always learning, always appreciating the beauty around him.
Above all, Michael was a kind, old soul who would do anything for those he loved. His generosity was quiet but constant, his presence steady and comforting. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, craftsmanship, heritage, and love.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St George Ukrainian Catholic Church.
He will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace. Vichnya Pamyat.
