Ronald J. Koerbel

Ronald J. Koerbel, age 79, of Valencia, (formerly of Zelienople and North Side Pittsburgh, PA), loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend peacefully passed awayon Tuesday, August 2, 2022.   Ronald was a 50 year member of the Masons (Masonic District 55 Lodge 796) as well as a member of the Valley of Pittsburgh Scottish Rite (Supreme Council 33).

Ronald is survived by his daughter Betty Lou (Roy) Bartley, granddaughters Seirra (Nick) Huff and Megan Bartley, grandson Collin Bartley, sister Betty Lou Moore, brother William (Carolyn) Koerbel, and several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis, his mother, Betty, his wife, Mary Ann, and his sons Ronald and Robert (surviving, Erin Koerbel).  He will be greatly missed by all.

Ronald spent most of his working years in the elevator industry. He served as both a worker, and eventually as a Local 6 Business Agent. Finally, he climbed his way to Regional Director of the International Union of Elevator Constructors. Although a dedicated worker, he always valued time with family and friends. On November 12, 1966, he married his beloved Mary Ann Koerbel. Together they raised two sons, Ronald and Robert, and one daughter, Betty Lou. They also played a huge role in raising and caring for all 3 of their grandchildren, Seirra, Megan, and Collin.

His entire life, Ronald was an outdoorsman. He spent most weekends at his camp. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, snowmobiles, quads, horses , boating, and the good company surrounding him. Of his passions, he undoubtedly enjoyed being with the ones he loved most of all. He was fortunate to spend much time with family and friends, always supporting them and helping them grow.

Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm.  at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funral Home, Inc., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA   15212-2104, where a Service will be held after the visitation.
