William D. Kushik

William D. Kushik, age 73, of Pittsburgh, on Thursday, April 23, 2020.  Husband of the late Donna E. (Bronder); father of William C., Coleen (Greg) Buell and the late Jeffery (surviving Denise), grandfather of Corey, Taylor, Jeffery, Sydnie, Cole, Clayton and Luke; great-grandfather of Kayden, Kayleb, Ethan and Kailey; brother of Moonyeen (the late Edwin) Waldschmidrt.  William served in the US Army in the 3rd Infantry Division Reinforced from 1966-1968.  He participated in the 21 Gun Salute and guarded the tomb of the unknown Soldier.  A Funeral Service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date with full Military Honors.  He retired after 30 years as a Correctional Officer from the State Correction Institution of Pitrsburgh (SCIP).
