Frederick H. Mays, Jr.

Frederick H. Mays, Jr., on Saturday, August 29, 2020.  Beloved husband of Claudia Mays.  Father of Freddie and Matthew (Leanne) Mays; grandfather of Sawyer and Thatcher; son of the late Zeke and Lillian Mays; brother of Larry (Mary Ann) Mays.  Fred was a Captain with the City of Pittsburgh Fire Bureau, retiring after 36 years.  He enjoyed working out at the gym, following the Steelers and the Penguins, and spending time at the library.   He was the author of over 50 poems and was affectionately known as the "Poet of the North".  There was a private viewing and service.  Donations may be made to Northland Library.
