She served twice as chair person of the Annual Charity Ball for Sharon General Hospital. During this time she and her husband donated almost 300 acres of land to the American Carpathian Orthodox Diocese to establish Camp Nazareth in Mercer County. She retired at the age of 81. She and her son spent retirement winters in Florida. During this time she and her son traveled over twenty times to Eastern Europe to visit family in the Carpathian mountains.
