Viola R. "Bucky" (Radick) Peifer

Viola "Bucky" R. (Radick) Peifer, age 89, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Brighton Heights, fell asleep to the Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.  Beloved wife of the late Jack S. Peifer; Mother of Matthew T. Peifer, Sharon (Scott Robinson) Peifer, and Christine (Ben) Scherer; Grandmother of Joshua and Justin Winkler, Lindsay Kovats, Ben Scherer, Harmonie Torchia and Jocelyn Gold.  Preceded in death by Jack Scherer; Great-grandmother of Jessica, Noah and Kylee Winkler, Liam and Ella Kovats, Maxx Scherer, Everly Torchia, Rylie Winkler, Maverick Torchia and Anthony Winkler and Alyssa and Kaitlyn Duray; Daughter of the late John and Anna Radick; sister of the late Leona Haines, James Radick, Richard Radick and Dorothy Manjerovic.  Bucky's smile and heart were warm and kind.    She could often be heard saying she had no regrets in her life and she had the best husband in the world.  She had many wonderful adventures and so many more caring and loving friends.  Her faith and her family were the center of her world.  She served her church and diocese with humility and devotion her entire life.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy.  So many have said they enjoyed her stories of the past and loved listening to her talk about her brothers and sisters, how she sang at Carnegie Music Hall and longed to jitterbug and roller skate one more time.  Bucky was employed at Bell Telephone (now Verizon) for over 25 years.  Friends received  2:00 - 7:00 pm Friday  (Panachida on Friday, 6:30 pm )  at the Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Inc., 3552 California Ave. at Davis Ave., Pgh., PA   15212.  Funeral Service will be held in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Saturday, 12 Noon.  PLEASE EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church relocation fund, 2688 California Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA   15212,  in addition to Camp Nazareth, 339 Pew Road, Mercer, PA   16137.
